Plot Summary:'Adelante' is about the Mexican community in Norristown, PA. It focuses on St. Patrick's Church, as the Latino revitalization of this once moribund church mirrors the way Latinos revitalized Norristown itself. In particular, it shows how immigrants have relied on the church to adjust to a new country, as plants of temporary residency have turned into permanent resettlement, and how American parishioners have learned to embrace this new group.
